Naturally, our surfaceskimming technologies are more economic to operate overall and at all speeds of peace time sailings and exercises.
Our company already employs this advanced technology which solves known problems of Surface Effect and Surface Skimming, delivering improved performance and dynamic stability on the active as well as calm and the ever changing unpredictable aquatic surface!
It is achieved in an impressively cost effective and simple way.
Last year we have implemented Scientific Research on a given model of a Fighting Ship in a world class Tow-tank facility. The results of this simple tow test indicates to me that advanced fast displacement hulls can obtain more then 20% increased performance by installing proper Powerfins for replacing curvatured Bilge Keels on most sleek modern fighting ships; and also indicated that advanced fast displacement hulls can not be lifted! Almost 44% of increased resistance was created by my attempt to also have the patrol ship model lifted against its tendency for bobbing while operating under incrementally increased power, at higher speeds and mostly at its top speed, as it was designed, and without the advantage of upgrading to employ the Surfins technology. SHInc's lubrication study shows 20.6% reduction in resistance over this total added resistance of the Powerfins and my attempt to also lift the tubular hull, reduced resistance that can be simply cancelled by installing for the next, second test, the more proper Powerfins installation at its chine, without reaching up to the waterline for forcing a lift, and by employing another solution we have for such sharp and long Bow design, or by adding a Bulbous bow (Not developed on this model) for obtaining better yet wanted water lubrication. The only one combined test implemented to answer both questions, indicated ,that starting with 144% resistance at lowest speeds was reduced to 123% resistance at top speed, yielding more then 20% reduction due to the created lubrication of the Surfins Technology on this model that was not designed to take full advantage of the developed technology. While we are looking at these first scientific test results to learn the proper scientific conclusions, for use on future tests of similar models, Powerfins are not yet perfected for use on hulls of advanced fighting ships or fast displacement hulls; and yet, for popular shipping hull designs on ships, Powerfins' tested designs indicate the upgrade can be very beneficial, and SHInc is set to continue commercially practical research according to given professional evaluations and recommendations, set to further the credibility of this technology on other hulls. Out tests for planing hulls, all indicate significant performance advantage at all speeds, including new top speed in every test.
